Grenade attack leaves 9 hurt near Imambargah in Karachi

KARACHI: Nine people, including women, sustained injuries when unknown assailants hurled a hand grenade on a police mobile near an Imambargah at Aisha Manzil area here on Tuesday.
According to sources, the unidentified assailants tossed a bag containing a hand grenade from a fly-over, targeting a police patrol van near an Imambargah at Aisha Manzil.
Eight people, including women, who stood at the entrance of Imambargah suffered injuries.
The blast, that was heard far and wide, also damaged a vehicle parked nearby.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
